In 1994, Opac developed the Maserati Opac prototype, a fully in-house designed and built vehicle. Based on the structural and mechanical architecture of the Maserati Spyder, it was equipped with the 3.2-litre V8 engine from the Maserati Shamal.

In 1996, at the 66th Turin Motor Show, Opac unveiled the Opac Più, a prototype fully conceived, designed and built in-house. Based on the Peugeot 106 XSi, the Opac Più is a compact roadster featuring a completely redesigned body.

In addition to this, Opac has contributed to the development and production of numerous vehicles equipped with manually or electrically operated soft-top systems.

Throughout its history, the company has expanded its expertise into a wide range of projects, including the production of cabins for heavy-duty vehicles, buses and off-road vehicles, vehicles for the transport of people with disabilities, wire-guided trolleys, motorcycles, and design-oriented components for office and home interiors.

Since 1996, Opac has extended its automotive expertise into the marine industry, becoming a trusted supplier of soft-top and hard-top systems for yachts, for both shipyards and private clients.

Opac entered the sector with the development of the largest automotive-derived soft-top system featuring advanced kinematics. In the following years, the company reached several major milestones, including the first retractable flybridge soft-top, the first automatic glazed hard-top, and the first fully carbon-fibre soft-top system.

To date, Opac has developed over twenty opening systems for the nautical sector.

Today, Opac operates as a system supplier, serving both national and international car manufacturers and coachbuilders. The company supports its partners through the design and development of prototypes and the production of small series of special vehicles, working with a wide range of materials, including sheet steel, aluminium, resins and carbon fibre.

By combining advanced industrial capabilities with traditional craftsmanship, Opac brings together tradition and innovation, shaping its future development.
