Opac contributes to Renault’s new electric minibuses

At Busworld 2025 in Brussels, one of the world’s most important events dedicated to buses, Renault Vehicle Innovation unveiled the Master Citybus E-Tech and Master Shuttle E-Tech.

The two prototypes on display in the Belgian capital were developed with the active contribution of Opac, which supported Renault Vehicle Innovation not only in the construction of the vehicles, but also during the design and engineering phases, bringing its extensive experience in special bodywork systems to the project.

Based on the new Renault Master, the two models mark an important step forward in the field of electric passenger transport. Leveraging its expertise in the engineering and conversion of both heavy and light commercial vehicles, Renault Vehicle Innovation has created two solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of local authorities and public transport operators.

Thanks to their completely low-floor design, Renault Master Citybus E-Tech and Renault Master Shuttle E-Tech ensure maximum accessibility for all passengers. The Citybus can accommodate up to 22 passengers, making it ideal for urban public transport, while the Shuttle, with its 14 configurable seats, is perfectly suited to on-demand services in both urban and suburban environments.

“Completing the two prototypes in time for the show was a particularly demanding challenge,” says Luca Sacco, CEO of Opac. “Our contribution involved not only assembly activities, but also design work, identifying solutions and ideas that the client greatly appreciated.”
