The foundation of this group dates back to 1976.

Strengthened by matured experience in the mechanical construction sector, today OPAC is a qualified industrial organisation capable of satisfying every request, from planning to equipping product lines for special production and specialised series. Its expertise spans from transportation by car, truck and track to nautical recreation.

With particular reference to the automotive sector, OPAC collaborates with many of the most important national and international constructors and panel-beaters dealing with the production of prototypes and small series of vehicles.

OPAC is capable of satisfying any manufacturing and supply need using a wide range of material: from steel to aluminium sheets, resin, or carbon fibres.

OPAC is up-to-date with technological advancements and can count on the best that there is available.

All systems are developed within OPAC and the whole construction process is carried out entirely by hand by highly specialised personnel. Much of the technology used has been imported from the automotive sector such as carbon fibre and liquid crystal spinning systems.

All this allows OPAC to operate at high standards for all manufacturing for which they have received official validation by attaining the strictest and most prestigious certification.

Among the group activities there are two fundamental specialisations: the design and production of tops for automobiles and recreational boats. For both sectors the tops, both manual and automatic, are built using high quality material to guarantee maximum geometrical precision, smooth operation and long-term reliability. From the simple and extremely practical arched ‘Capottina’ to the gigantic top, a Guinness World Record, with arches of up to 9.7 m long and 6.4 m wide.

Our presence in these sectors is linked to the particular specialisation attained by working with stainless steel, a material that has excellent physical and chemical characteristics. Nevertheless, it requires particular attention during procedures such as welding, pressing and polishing.
